Detailed Information for Badlands Workshops

Fee
The $900 fee includes workshop tuition and one meal a day. (We grab a simple complementary breakfast at the motel so you will be left with one meal a day on your own)

Deposit

A $400 non-refundable deposit secures your place in the workshop. The remainder is due 60 days prior to the start of the session and is non-refundable unless I can resell that spot.

Companions

Non-photographer spouses or companions are welcome on all field trips for an additional $450. Openings for these spots could be limited. Reserve early. For those not wanting to go along, Medora is an interesting little place, the motel has a pool.

Accomodations

Motel rooms are your responsibility. A block of rooms has been set aside at the AmericInn in Medora (the newest motel in town--very nice). Just mention the Nature Photography Workshop and Pat Gerlach. AmericInn number - 800.634.3444.

Where & When

Medora is on I-94, 135 miles west of Bismarck, North Dakota. Workshops start at 2 pm Mountain Time and end at 11 am.

Weather

Usually very dry, very low humidity. Average highs and lows for workshop dates are: June 80 and 53; August 83 and 49; September 73 and 40. Keep in mind that these are averages. Be prepared for wide temperature swings.
